Review the Trail Typologies Map

The Trail Typologies map establishes trail classifications for existing, planned and proposed trails to establish an intuitive network of multi-modal trails within the Missoula valley that is integrated with the surrounding land use context.  It is built on a foundation of shared values from the Parks Recreation Open Space and Trails (PROST) plan, Our Missoula 2045 Land Use Plan, Missoula Connect 2050 Long Range Transportation Plan, and other guiding documents.

The map is include within the City of Missoula Standards and Specifications Manual and is intended to clarify how the existing system of trails will be expanded and connected in the future, and where future trail connections may be required in development projects. More context and details on Trail Typologies can be found in the "Trail Typologies Framework" which is included as an appendix to the manual.
